Hi listeners, my name is Mritika Omkumar. I am a rising senior at Westhill High School in Stamford, Connecticut. Like most of you, I realized that most of my financial planning had been done by my parents. I realized how little I actually knew about the finances surrounding my life, and getting closer and closer to college, that started to scare me. Financial literacy is something that is the foundation of our day to day life, and not knowing how to work it can be detrimental. So, I decided that I was going to take control of my future and learn about my finances, and I wanted to bring you all along with me. With a microphone and a thirst for financial knowledge, Inside the Piggy Bank was born.
